MSAD33 School Construction Project is on the Approved List

 On November 13, 2026, the Maine State Board of Education approved 2 school construction projects on the 2024-25 rating cycle.  MSAD33 now has an approved project.  To date, the district has not received any additional information from the State Board or the Department of Education about funding (state vs. local percentages) or any additional information. 

The MSAD33 board will be monitoring the results of the Part 1 application with Madawaska Schools.  No timeline has been given to when scoring on Part 1 will be available.   Part 2 applications are only due on October 31, 2026, and no timeline has been given to when the final scores on Part 2 will be available. 

MSAD33 will be in constant communication with the State Board regarding both projects.  It is their hope that a regional project will become a reality; however, in the event it does not come to fruition, they will move forward with their approved project alone.
